Garden Organic is the UK’s leading organic growing charity. The Heritage Seed Library (HSL) is the arm of Garden Organic that aims to conserve and make available vegetable varieties that are not widely available. Staff from the Heritage Seed Library has been running the Sowing New Seeds workshops at Spitalfields City Farm, including how to grow, prepare and save seeds from crops not normally grown in the UK. They will provide expertise on seed-banks, help with recruitment and support throughout the project through regular meetings as well as delivering 2 seed-saving workshops.
